Japan is one the fastest growing travel destinations. It surely is one of the most fascinating too. And a new attraction is giving travelers an additional reason to visit her asap. A new art museum opened in Tokyo called “MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM teamLab Borderless,” dedicated to interactive digital art. It is the world’s largest of its kind. It has 50 installations designed by teamLab, in five different zones without “borders,” inviting visitors to touch the art and interact with it. Elizabetta Rizzato, architect and curator my latest blog find Italianbark, was lucky enough to visit this museum just before it officially opened its doors on June 21st.

Everything is designed to give the visitor an immersive, digital but at the same time physical experience. Without limits between visitor and artwork – borderless, as the name says.

Elizabetta, was fortunate to experience it all. You can read all about it here. She walked through the EN Tea House, the Forest of Lamps, the Athletics Forest and Crystal Universe. Now each installation, inspired by nature and Japanese traditional motifs, is never exactly the same. It changes with time and hence, it becomes a unique experience for each and every one of its visitors.

You can hear the sound of storm in the Crystal Universe, while surrounded of thousands of vertical leds recreating sounds and colors.

Sounds fascinating, right?! Perhaps a little surreal. But reading about her personal experience made it even more appealing and intriguing. It definitely got me wanting to visit this unusual museum that is like taking a leap into the future…

Have a great weekend,
