Hi there! How are you?… Christmas is over but hopefully we all made some great memories to remember it by. And before we catch our breaths, we’ve got New Year’s eve coming up next. Yahhh! Are we excited? Are any of you going to parties or hosting one instead? If so then, stick around for a minute and glance at this beautiful tabletop setup. It’s the perfect inspiration for your New Year’s decoration.
Origami paper star ornaments, pom poms, confetti and champagne bottles covered in glitter may be a great way to decorate for New Year’s celebrations. Instead, Elisabeth chose a stylish yet, very sophisticated decor for creating a hearty mood.
By default, the decor used for this tabletop is somewhat more glamorous – more urban chic if you like, than the one we used for our Christmas tabletop. We think it fits right in with that “sparkling” mood… What do you reckon? Colored glasses, lots of candles, white linen as a clean slate backdrop and silver metallic touches. These are the elements that compose this stylish New Year’s decoration with glamour in mind… I bet you can pull something like that yourself without any hassle… after all it’s all about creating a joyous, festive mood! 😉
Just a little note: pomegranates are a symbol of good luck here in Greece. An old tradition calls for the “smashing” of a pomegranate on New Year’s Day in front of a home’s entryway as a good way to start off the New Year. I can’t say that I have been keeping this tradition, but Elisabeth and I surely use them a lot as New Year’s decoration and in our salad making. Ha, ha!
In any case, we want to wish you all a prosperous Happy New Year blessed with happiness, love and kindness. Be true to yourselves, be kind to yourselves and simply be the most awesome YOU can be!
Love always,
P.S. Don’t miss tomorrow’s last post for the year 2017 with my favorite music playlist that helped me get through this year. 😉
