Jumpsuit :: A Wardrobe’s Key Transitional Piece

Hello everyone! I just realized that it’s already Thursday and I haven’t gotten done half the things I planned. I’ve been pretty busy with work, getting over the flu and with several other projects on the way, there hasn’t been much spare time. However, since this is a transitional season and the few sun rays that have been breaking through the clouds are promising the coming of spring, I thought I share with you some inspiration on jumpsuits. Jumpsuits are one of my favorite essentials and I think that they make a key staple in one’s wardrobe including the odd transitional periods.

Apart from the fact that jumpsuits are super comfy, I love the fact that they are versatile and easy to style. You could wear them literally from dawn to dusk for casual outings, as work wear or even for special occasions. A biker’s jacket, a trench coat and a blazer are equally ideal for throwing a jumpsuit when in need to stay warm in these transitional days between seasons. And as for shoes, slip on loafers, trainers, or flats are my best go-to shoe options when styling a jumpsuit. I don’t think it gets much easier than this.

One thing that you may notice though, if you follow any fashion Instagram influencers, is that many of them are going for jumpsuits with a sexier vibe i.e. a halterneck. However, many of them will also sport the more baggy kind that look very much like boiler suits. Also, floral prints and neutrals colors are definitely going to be big this season, but personally I like navy blues and stripes.
